The arrest was announced by Thalang Police on Friday (July 17). The suspect, identified by police as Teepakorn ‘Jang’ Prateep Na Thalang, was arrested on charges of theft or receiving stolen property following an investigation into a series of thefts reported in the Thalang area.
According to police, officers searched Teepakorn’s rented room in Thepkrasattri and later continued the search at Robinson Lifestyle Thalang. Among the items seized were a white Honda PCX motorcycle believed to have been used during the offences, clothing allegedly worn by the suspect, and a large quantity of suspected stolen property.
Police said the haul included more than 140 pieces of women’s and men’s underwear, along with jewellery, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, wallets, identity cards, vehicle keys, collectible coins and other personal belongings believed to have been stolen in separate incidents.
During questioning, Teepakorn allegedly confessed to stealing women’s underwear since he was in primary school, telling investigators he initially stole one or two items at a time and sniffed them for sexual gratification.
Police believe many of the seized valuables may be linked to unsolved theft cases in the Thalang area and are working to identify and locate their rightful owners.
Teepakorn and all seized items were taken to Thalang Police Station for further legal proceedings.
The investigation is continuing as officers examine whether Teepakorn is connected to additional thefts reported in the district.
