Overlooking Karon Beach, The Beachcomber’s relaxing atmosphere hosts live saxophone and DJ-spun tunes to accompany the brunch, which consists of a fine selection of grilled meats and seafood such as chipolatas, Merguez sausages, beef burgers, chicken skewers, BBQ pork ribs, roast chicken, chicken tikka, prawn skewers, squid skewers and grilled beef sirloin.
A brunch favourite, the flavour of the roast chicken is smooth featuring fresh butter; welcoming are the smells of rosemary and lemon once the chicken is sliced.
A highlight for me was when Priti Wanna, Sous Chef, presented his signature grilled beef sirloin. Uniquely cooked, the outer layer of the sirloin is first grilled and then served with gravy. Delectable!
Other noteworthy brunch options include an extra healthy salad bar with potatoes, beetroot, coleslaw, mixed greens, Greek salad, tomatoes, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, pasta, five dressings and a selection of breads.
The welcome drink is offered as a choice between strawberry and lychee, and served as a smoothie or soft drink. Fresh carved fruit, an ice cream trolley and fruit salad are also on offer.
In addition to brunch on Sunday, Centara Grand also offers beach sport activities.
