Police said Martin Curtis Taylor, originally from Manchester in England, was arrested after being caught in possession of one gramme of marijuana.

Also arrested was Nigerian man Ibenuba Henry Onyinyechukwu, 28, in possession of 5.45 grammes of cocaine after he showed up at Mr Taylor’s house.

Police were first tipped off about the two men after a Thai woman, Somkid “Waew” Kwanngern, 30, started acting suspiciously in Patong. Police followed her to her apartment, and police searched the room and found 1.2 grammes of cocaine. She was arrested.

Police then asked Waew to contact her associates, and she called Mr Taylor to see if he wanted to buy some cocaine from her. Mr Taylor then called Mr Onyinyechukwu, and both were arrested while completing the drug deal at Mr Taylor’s house.

All three face drug charges.

These arrests follow the arrest last night (April 8) of Irishman James Joseph Brady, 45, who was caught holding 2.8 grams of ya ice (crystal methamphetamine), and was charged with possession with intent to sell.
