The brakes had failed on the bus, which careered across Patak Rd, near Chalong, snapping a power pole and crashing through the safety barrier. It rolled down the forested hill before ending upside-down in the trees. (For earlier story, see here.)
The woman tourist, Wu Rong, was pulled unconscious from the wreckage of the overturned bus and rushed to hospital. Attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.
