Police were alerted to the incident around 10:30am by a local resident who spotted the baby while passing by Soi Bang Tao 12 in Moo 2, Cherng Talay. The child had been left in the back of a bronze Isuzu D-Max with Udon Thani license plates.
Pol Lt Khajornkiat Khamwichairat, Deputy Chief of Investigation at Cherng Talay Police, responded to the call and immediately informed Pol Col Ekkarat Phlaiduang, the station’s superintendent, who rushed to the scene.
By the time officers arrived, rescue workers from the Cherng Talay Subdistrict Administrative Organisation (OrBorTor) had already transported the baby to Thalang Hospital. He was later transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital for further care.
