Mr Sattha and his family paid homage to the statute of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) at the century-old former Phuket Provincial Hall, on Narisorn Rd in Phuket town, which is now home to the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation (PPAO).
Mr Sattha and his family then travelled to the new Phuket Provincial Hall, located in the Phuket Provincial Administration Center on Tha Kraeng Rd, on the south side of Phuket Town, to pay homage to the monument of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn as well as to a Buddha image and a spirit house situated at the front of the government complex.
By 9am, Mr Sattha was sitting in front of Phuket Governor Sophon Suwannarat to report himself ready for duty.
After being well received by several welcoming parties, Mr Sattha was put to work, joining a conference led by Kriangsak Faisingam, 1st Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives Governing Committee, visiting in person to be appraised on provincial policy on key issues, including the new 4am closing time of entertainment venues to come into effect on Dec 15.
Mr Kriangsak and his committee associates are to visit Bangla Rd in Patong today (Nov 9) to hear firsthand from local residents and business operators their opinions and concerns regarding the 4am closing time.
