Phuket Vice Governor Adul Chuthong presided over the opening ceremony at the clinic, located on Patak Rd (Route 4030), just north of the intersection with Saiyuan Rd (Route 4009), in Moo 7, Rawai.

Attending the opening were executives of Rawai Clinic Co Ltd, including Managing Director Dr Anas Choramae, along with Ms Natthaporn Sukchawana and Dr Dusanee Khayankarn.

Also present were Mueang District Chief Pairoj Srilamul, Deputy Chief of the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation Chalam Atthatham, Rawai Mayor Thames Kraitat, representatives from local agencies, business leaders and community organisations.

Vice Governor Adul stated the establishment of a standard medical facility close to communities and tourist areas would help improve quality of life for local residents and boost confidence among visitors.

“Access to proper medical services near homes and tourist attractions is important for both public health and tourism,” he said. “This clinic also takes into account the religious practices and lifestyles of people in the area, which is especially important for community-based healthcare.”

For residents in Rawai, Chalong Hospital remains the closest major medical facility, more than five kilometres away, and on the far side of the traffic heavy Chalong Circle.

Dr Anas said “Rawai Medical Clinic is fully equipped to provide a wide range of basic medical services, including general examinations, treatment of chronic illnesses, accident-related injuries, health check-ups, vaccinations, sexually transmitted disease treatment, medical certificates and coordination for patient referrals.”

He added that the clinic aims to provide services that are convenient, fast and safe for both residents and tourists.

In line with the local community context, the clinic has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Nurul Ibadah Mosque to provide circumcision (Khitan) services in accordance with Islamic principles for the Muslim community in Rawai.

Rawai Medical Clinic is open daily from 9am to 10pm and also provides a shuttle service for patients.
