The press conference announcing the event was held at Central Phuket Festival yesterday (Oct 5), with Governor Saransak presiding over the ceremony. He was joined by his wife Ms Ruedeewan, who now serves as the President of the Phuket branch of the Red Cross Society.
Joining them were Phutta Maklai, President of the Southern Technical and Skill Development Association; and Thanadet Phothanon, President of the Andaman Food and Beverage Association.
Governor Saransak said the exhibition reflects the collective effort of Phuket’s public and private sectors, together with community partners, to raise the skills and quality of service personnel to international standards.
“This reinforces Phuket’s image as a leading global tourist destination, where both culture and service excellence are at the heart of the experience,” he said.
The press event featured performances by the Southern Technical and Skill Development Association and the Andaman Food and Beverage Association. Highlights included a ‘som tam’ cooking demonstration by the Governor and his wife, as well as vegetarian spring roll making by Anchalee Vanich Thepbutr, President of the Phuket Arts Association.
The Phuket Hotelier Craft and Skill Exhibition 2025 will take place from Oct 18–19 at the Mini Convention Hall, Central Phuket Floresta. The event will showcase the professional capabilities of hospitality workers while promoting Phuket as a centre of service excellence, said an official report of the event.
