Thalang Police were called to the scene, the three-way intersection outside Phuket Provincial Prison in Moo 4, Srisoonthorn, at 9:15pm.
Officers and rescue workers from Srisoonthorn Municipality arrived to find two motorbikes on the road.
Nearby was Jirasak Jirasak Jitphatphirom, 41, a Lineman food delivery driver.
About 20 metres down the road were two Myanmar men. One, Chui Tha Ko, 23, was seriously injured. He had been slashed on his front, back and right arm. His companion, also a Myanmar national but name not confirmed, had suffered an injury to his right index finger.
The men were given immediate first aid and taken to Thalang Hospital.
Mr Jirasak told police that he had stopped at the intersection and checked to make sure it was clear before turning right. That was when the two Myanmar men sped around the corner and crashed into him.
Police are to check CCTV in the area as they proceed with their investigation.
