Acting on a tip-off, officers from the Thalang Police and the Narcotics Control Board arrested the man, named by police as ‘Hen Mon’, at a unnumbered room at a worker’s camp in Moo 4, Srisoonthorn, at about 6:40pm yesterday (Oct 3).
The officers found the meth pills, orange in colour and embossed with the letters ‘WY’, in clear plastic resealable bags containing various amounts of the drug. The drugs were separated into 25, 10, five and three pills per bag.
Some of the pills were found in a cardboard box in front of the room, others were found in a red metal box also in front of the room, and others more were found in the room.
In total 1,130 pills were reported as seized in the raid. Also seized was B2,500 in cash, mostly small banknotes.
Hen Mon was placed under arrest and taken to Thalang Police Station, where he was charged with illegal possession of a Category 1 narcotic for distribution.
He was also charged with illegally staying in the country.
