The incident occurred at about 2:40pm in front of Muslim Wittaya School Phuket in Koh Kaew.
Police responding to reports of a fight at the scene found the injured motorcyclist, identified only as ‘Weerayut’, suffering from a knife wound to his right arm. He was provided initial assistance before being taken to hospital for treatment.
According to initial questioning, the altercation began as a road rage dispute between the motorcyclist and the driver of a six-wheeled truck. Both parties were reported to have cut each other off while driving, leading to a heated argument that escalated into a physical confrontation.
During the clash, the truck driver, identified only as ‘Boonsin’, stabbed Weerayut in the arm.
Boonsin later admitted to police that he had argued with the motorcyclist and carried out the attack. He was taken into custody at the scene and handed over to Phuket City Police Station to face legal proceedings.
Police said they were continuing their investigation and will proceed with charges in accordance with the law.
