Ritthidet ‘Ritthi’ Wangboonkong, 41, registered as a resident of Moo 3, Wichit, was arrested at a house in Moo 1, Chalong, after he was found in possession of 1,171 ya bah pills and 61.86 grammes of crystal meth (ya ice).
Also seized in mkaing the arrest were four packs of clear plastic bags, two digital scales, drug-taking paraphernalia, and his mobile phone, allegedly used for ordering and selling drugs.
Ritthidet was detained and handed over to the Chalong Police for further legal action, said the report. Ritthidet faces charges of illegal possession of a Category 1 narcotic with intent to sell.
Meanwhile, officers made two arrests in Tambon Thepkrasattri, in Thalang.
Farida Da’ Ngankhaeng, 24, from Koh Yao Noi Subdistrict, was arrested at a house in Moo 8, Thepkrasattri, after she was found with two ya bah pills.
Also seized was her mobile phone, which officers said showed she gambled on online slots.
Farida was taken to Thalang Police, where she was charged with illegal possession of a Category 1 narcotic, using a Category 1 narcotic and Illegal gambling.
While in the area, officers arrested Nonphat ‘Yusop’ Mingphijarn, 28, a resident at a different house in Moo 8, Thepkrasattri
Nonphat was taken to Phuket City Police Station and charged with "Using a Category 1 narcotic (Methamphetamine or Ice/Amphetamine) illegally”, the report noted.
