The meeting was held on Tuesday (Feb 24) at the Phuket Merlin Hotel, where members also elected the Chamber’s committee for the 2026-2028 term.
Mr Montavee, who presided over the meeting, was returned to the top post by unanimous resolution. Also in attendance were Yaowanit Saetang, Chief of the Phuket Provincial Office of the Ministry of Industry, and members of the chapter.
The session included a report on the FTI Phuket’s operations over the past year, certification of income and expenditure, and a presentation outlining benefits available to members of the FTI, including special privileges for health checkups, car rentals and air tickets.
On the same occasion, a special presentation titled ‘Andaman Maritime Hub’ was delivered by executives and industry leaders, highlighting opportunities to position Phuket as a key maritime and industrial centre for the Andaman region.
Following the AGM, members also elected the 21-member Executive Committee for the 2026-2028 term. The committee unanimously selected Mr Montavee to serve again as Chairman.
Speaking to The Phuket News, Mr Montavee said he was grateful for the trust placed in him by committee members and advisers.
“I will strive to fulfil the duties entrusted to me by all the committee members and advisers who have placed their trust in me as the council president this time,” he said. “I will continue the positive activities initiated by previous presidents.”
He added that he hopes to contribute to the development of Phuket’s business sector, particularly in high-value industries, digital businesses and clean energy.
“This aligns with Phuket’s tourism development, as we are striving to make Phuket a sustainable tourism destination,” he said.
Mr Montavee also pledged to work closely with the Federation of Thai Industries to promote industrial growth in line with sustainable development goals. “I will do my best,” he said.
