Police arrested Mr. Supachai Kaewplod, 38, at his residence in the Keha U-Athorn housing estate in Srisoonthorn at 1:30pm yesterday (July 1).
The arrest was led by Pol. Col. Nikorn Chuthong, Superintendent of Thalang Police Station, alongside his investigative team.
The arrest followed a complaint filed earlier that morning by Suphanat Khuntongkam, 25, who reported that his black-grey Honda Wave 110i motorbike, registered in Songkhla, had been stolen from in front of Building 92 in the same housing estate at around 5:08am.
Officers checked CCTV footage near the scene and quickly identified a Thai man pushing the motorbike from Building 92 to Building 78, entering room number 200/7801.
Police went to the room, accompanied by Mr Suphanat, where Supachai opened the door and admitted it was his residence. Inside the room, officers found the stolen motorbike parked.
Supachai confessed to stealing the bike, telling police that he had seen the unattended motorbike while walking back from a nearby shop and decided to take it.
No other reason for stealing the motorbike was given.
Supachai was charged with theft at night or receiving stolen goods and taken into custody for further legal action.
