Thalang Police were called to the scene, in Moo 7, Srisoonthorn, at 2am  on Saturday (July 20).

Police and rescue workers from the Kusoldharm Foundation arrived to find the body of Natthakorn Srihakham, 40, inside the rented home. His body was lying on its side, dressed in a blue sports T-shirt and a sarong.

Suchart Phayongsak, who called the police, said he was alerted to the incident by loud screams from Mr Natthakorn’s wife.

The couple had just moved into the house that day.  They had been drinking alcohol in front of the house and had a minor argument, the wife told Mr Suchart.

Mr Natthakorn then told his wife he would go to sleep in the room and locked the door behind him.

When his wife later tried to enter the room, the door wouldn’t open. She checked through the window shutters next to the bedroom and saw her husband hanged inside. She managed to open the door but her husband was already dead, Mr Suchart said.

Mr Natthakorn’s body was taken to Thalang Hospital for further examination while Thalang Police Chief Pol Col Nikorn Chuthong confirmed that officers were continuing their investigation.
