Thalang police and Kusoldharm rescue workers were called to the Community Housing 2 in Thalang and when arrived found Sommai Nomrit, 61, a security guard at the housing community hanging inside a water treatemnt room.
Police officers interviewed Mr Sommai's son and learned that Mr Sommai had left the house at around 7am and had not returned home. The son went looking for him and found him hanging in the water treatment room at the back of the community.
According to a note left by the deceased, he had debt problems and couldn't find any solutions to resolve them. Police believe this was the reason for the suicide.
Mr Sommai̕s body has been taken to Thalang Hospital for autopsy.
