Man found dead in parked pickup in Kamala

PHUKET: A 32-year-old man was discovered dead in his vehicle at a worker's dormitory parking lot in Kamala on Saturday (Nov 30).

Kamala Police were called to the scene at 11:30am.

Officers arrived to find a white Isuzu pickup truck, registered in Nakhon Sri Thammarat, with the engine still running. 

Inside the vehicle, they discovered the body of Wuttichai Hwanhwang, a resident of Krabi Province.  

Suwimon Taothipphumirak, the deceased’s wife and the first to find him. She informed officers that her husband had been suffering from Hepatitis B.

A forensic doctor from Vachira Phuket Hospital was called to examine the scene. No signs of a struggle or assault were found.

The body was handed over to the Phuket Kusoldharm Foundation, who transported it to Vachira Phuket Hospital for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.  

Police are continuing their investigation, though no foul play is suspected at this time.
