Thalang Police received a report of a gunshot fired at a house in Moo 2, Pa Khlok, at 1:40am
Officers soon arrived at the house, joined by village headman Chokchai Suebsak, to find Withawat Athisuthaphot, 48, in a state of intoxication.
His neighbour’s home had been damaged, with a window shattered and a motorbike still lying on its side where the dispute took place.
Two people, Anucha Ngorsurachet, 63, and Samphan Pengchan, 38, were both injured in the fight and had suffered physical harm, police reported. The extent of their injuries were not explained.
Police were told that Wittawat had told his neighbours “I’m going to get a gun and shoot.”
Wittawat walked back to his house next door. Five minutes later a gunshot was heard, prompting Mr Anucha’s wife, Jaraya Ngorsurachet, to call the police.
Officers searched Wittawat’s home and found a .38-calibre revolver, which was seized as evidence.
“Investigators have inspected the scene and have detained the accused, who will be prosecuted according to law,” police reported.
Wittawat was taken for questioning and will be tested for gunpowder residue as part of the investigation, police said.
