The female suspect, named by police as “Ms Sukanya”, a 26-year-old resident of Patong, surrendered herself at the local police station on Thursday (Aug 10), Patong Police revealed through a Facebook post.
Charges against Ms Sukanya include the following:
- Being an accomplice in an murder attempt;
- Being an accomplice in possession of a gun and ammunition without permission;
- Openly carrying a gun and ammunition in a public area without reasonable cause;
- Being an accomplice in firing a gun in a town or village area.
Patong Police has not revealed anything specific about Ms Sukanya’s role in the murder attempt which left two people with gunshot wounds.
As reported previously, Nuttawut Hemra, 20, was shot in his right leg, and Jirawat Santirak, 20, was shot in his left hand during the Aug 3 shooting near a “famous hotel” on a hill in the southern part of Patong.
The prime suspect was named by Patong officials as Nattapong Nachom, 34. The man has already been arrested just as all of his alleged accomplices. The charges against him are same as listed above.
