With nine goals scored at Surakul Stadium on Sunday night (June 22), the thrilling match, which saw several lead changes, was a proper send off to the 39-year-old Brazilian coach despite the loss.

“I want to thank Chairman Pramuke Atchariyachai for the opportunity to work for Phuket FC,” coach Teco told The Phuket News after the match, “the main thing is that I was happy here, it was a good time here in Phuket but now it's time for a different coach to have luck here and bring the team to Thai Premier League.”

The match, which was the first home loss of the season for Phuket FC, saw the team climb back from a tough 3-1 deficit. Goals by Brazilian contingent Eber Henrique, Ney Fabiano, and Cristian Alex saw the team take a 4-3 lead within 15 minutes to play.

Saraburi's Thanongsak Phromdad would tie the game back up in the 85th minute.

In stoppage time, Saraburi's leading scorer – Errol Anthony Stevens – put the game to bed with a goal in the 94th minute.

The game shoots Phuket down to 8th place on the Yamaha League-1 table.

Phuket FC's next match takes place next Sunday (June 29) at Pattaya United where the Ronins' newest signee, Panupong Aramwiroj, is expected to make his debut. Kick-off is at 6pm.
