The incident occurred at approximately 6:47am near the Nanai Bridge on Soi 8, Phra Metta Rd.

Police arrived to find one man, later identified as Mana Phuangmeechai, lying on the ground with a knife embedded in his waist. Despite his injuries, he was still breathing.

Emergency responders from the Kusodlharm Foundation rushed him to Patong Hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Shortly after, police received another report of a second injured man at the hospital. The man, identified as Rattatammanoon Chaunmak, 25, had suffered a stab wound to his abdomen and was also admitted for treatment.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the two men were rivals who had engaged in a heated dispute near the Bangkok Bank branch. The altercation escalated into a chase, culminating in the violent clash at Nanai Bridge, police reported.

Police are now conducting further inquiries to uncover the full circumstances of the incident. Investigators plan to interview both parties once their medical conditions stabilise and will proceed with legal action as appropriate.
