The raid saw the arrest of a 36-year-old Thai man, not named by police, at a rented room on 50 Pi Rd on Saturday (Jan 31).
Officers seized 80 grammes of ketamine, 6.22g of crystal meth, and 100 ecstasy pills (40 red flat pills and 60 green flat pills).
Officers also seized one digital scale, two stainless steel spoons used for dividing drugs and 1,000 small clear plastic bags with press-to-close seals
Police noted that the quantity of ketamine seized was particularly large and indicative of drug distribution rather than personal use, with equipment and packaging materials found at the scene supporting the allegation of trafficking.
Police confirmed that the suspect now faces three charges: possession for sale of a Category 1 narcotic (crystal methamphetamine) without permission; possession for sale of a Category 1 narcotic (ecstasy) without permission; and possession for sale of a Category 2 psychotropic substance (ketamine) without permission.
The suspect and all seized items were taken to Patong Police Station for further legal proceedings.
Patong Police said the arrest forms part of ongoing efforts to crack down on drug distribution networks in tourist areas of Phuket, adding that investigations are continuing to identify possible accomplices and supply sources.
