Israeli tourists who are unable to return home were asked to contact Phuket Immigration to apply for a temporary stay in the Kingdom, said an announcement issued by Phuket Immigration this morning (Oct 11).
Israeli nationals traveling in Thailand on visa exemption, a 30-day visa or a 60-day tourist visa can extend their stay once and not more than 30 days, by providing the following documents:
- Application form (TM.7) available at the Phuket Immigration Office
- Photos (4x6 cm) are required with the application
- Copy of passport pages (bio page and the last entry to Thailand)
- Address registration (TM.30)
- Fee B1,900 (cash only)
Israeli tourists who have completed a 30-day extension to stay described above and are still unable to return to the country can apply for extension of stay as a ‘case of necessity’, with certification or request made by an embassy or consulate. A ‘case of necessity’ extension of stay is for no more than 30 days at a time, and requires the following documents:
- Application form (TM.7) with picture (4x6 cm)
- Form STM.2 (Form acknowledging the criteria and conditions for permission to stay temporarily in the Kingdom)
- Form The Acknowledgment of Penalties for a Visa Overstay (signed)
- The original letter from the embassy or consulate in Thailand
- Copy of passport pages (bio page , last entry to Thailand and extension stamp)
- Address registration (TM.30)
- Fee B1,900 (cash only)
