Thalang Police Station reported that the fire occurred at 9:30am yesterday (Dec 10) at a rented house, in Moo 1, Thepkrasattri. The incident was formally reported to investigators at 1pm.

The tenant, Chutima Rodsri, told police she had left the house earlier, leaving several electrical appliances plugged in. She was later alerted by her boyfriend, who called to inform her that the house was on fire.

When she returned to the property, the fire had already burned out. Several items were damaged, including computer equipment, a mattress and other personal electrical appliances.

Investigating officers inspected the scene, took photographs and drew a preliminary site map. Forensic officers have been coordinated to examine the property for evidence, while investigations into the exact cause of the fire are continuing.
