The expo, themed ‘Longevity: Well-being for a Long Life’, will be held at Central Phuket from July 1-5 and is expected to bring together health, wellness, sports and tourism businesses from across Thailand and overseas.
The event was officially launched at a press conference on Wednesday (June 10), attended by Phuket Vice Governor Suwit Phansengiam, Phuket Chamber of Commerce President Kongsak Khoophongsakorn, Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation Deputy Mayor Anupap Wechwanichsanong and public health pharmacy expert Somsuk Sampanprateep.
Speaking at the event, officials outlined Phuket’s long-term vision of becoming a future health city under the concept ‘Phuket: The Future of Life’, with a focus on improving quality of life for local residents while attracting visitors, investors and healthcare businesses from around the world.
Mr Kongsak said the expo would serve as a platform linking health knowledge, innovation, technology and business opportunities while supporting the development of Phuket as a leading centre for health and wellness tourism.
Organisers said this year’s event builds on the success of previous expos, which demonstrated the island’s potential as an international destination for healthcare, medical services and wellness travel.
The 2026 expo will be organised around five key themes: Sport & Performance, Nutrition & Longevity, Mind & Spiritual, Medical & Biohacking, and Wellness Lifestyle.
More than 80 businesses are expected to showcase products and services covering health, wellness, sports and tourism sectors.
Other highlights will include international business-matching sessions, familiarisation trips showcasing Phuket’s health and wellness tourism offerings, and the presentation of the Phuket Health Expo Awards 2026.
Officials said the event is intended to create international partnerships, stimulate Phuket’s health economy and support efforts to establish the province as a regional hub for Health & Wellness Tourism.
Vice Governor Suwit said achieving that goal would require cooperation across government agencies, the private sector, educational institutions, healthcare providers and local communities, with a focus on promoting healthier lifestyles and sustainable urban development rather than relying solely on medical treatment.
The Phuket Health Expo 2026 is expected to attract both industry professionals and members of the public interested in health, wellness and active living, organisers said.
