I would also like to extend the greetings to everyone else and all the people who for the one day of the year find Irish roots to join and celebrate the day.
St Patrick’s Day is renowned world wide for an amazing day of celebration, having the “craic” and drinking enormous amounts of Irish beverages.
The day commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland, as well as celebrating the heritage and culture of the Irish in general. Celebrations generally involve public parades and festivals, and the wearing of green attire or shamrocks, restrictions on eating and Lent sacrifices of drinking alcohol are lifted for the day, which has encouraged and propagated the holiday’s tradition of alcohol consumption.
Wherever you are from in the world I wish you a wonderfully happy fun filled St Patrick’s Day. Don’t forget your Shamrocks or green attire, and remember to have “The Craic”.
If you don’t know where to go or what to do, go along to the Irish Times Pub in Jungcelyon where you are guaranteed an authentic Irish night.
Slainte.
