Despite a lackluster first half, Phuket FC were able to dig deep and score twice to overcome Samut Songkhram FC's stingy defense to take three points and climb to 7th in the Thai Premier League (13 points).
Pipat, who came on as a substitute in the 65th minute, gave Phuket FC a sudden burst of offensive firepower. No less than ten minutes after running onto the field, Pipat would rocket off a shot from the top of the penalty box that hit the back of the net following an assist from Berlin Nlome-Ndebi.
Just three minutes later, in the 78th minute, Nlome-Ndebi would add a score of his own as he knocked in a rebound after Wasan Samansin (No. 11) low-lying shot was rebuffed. The goal was Nlome-Ndebi's 4th of the season, which ties him as the 3rd top scorer for Yamaha League-1.
Pipat and Nlome-Ndebi's goals annulled the earlier score from Samut Songkhram's Sittinon Ketkaew (No. 28).
Now, with 7th place firmly in their grasp, Phuket FC will look akead to Sunday's match (April 26) against Chiang Mai FC at Surakul Stadium in Phuket Town - 7pm kickoff.
