The sharp rise pushes the retail price of standard diesel to around B48.23 per litre at most major service stations across the island, including OR, Bangchak, Shell, Caltex and PTT outlets. Susco stations listed diesel slightly lower at B48.18 per litre.

Premium diesel prices now range significantly higher, reaching up to B67.39 per litre at some stations.

Following the price hike yesterday, petrol prices also remain up, though less dramatically. Gasohol 91 is now around B44.07 per litre at most outlets, while Gasohol 95 sits between B44.44 and B45.24 per litre depending on the brand. E20 fuel is priced at about B39.44–B40.00 per litre.

Some premium petrol options remain substantially higher, including Gasohol 95 premium and specialised fuels exceeding B50 per litre at select stations.

The increases follow the latest nationwide adjustment in retail fuel prices, reflecting ongoing volatility in global energy markets.

Officials have not announced any immediate relief measures, but the rising costs are expected to add further pressure on living expenses and transport costs across Phuket, particularly ahead of the busy Songkran travel period.

UNDER PRESSURE

Meanwhile, fuel supplies at several petrol stations across Phuket remain under pressure, with some outlets reporting temporary shortages of key fuel types following the latest price increases, officials have confirmed.

The Phuket Provincial Energy Office reported at 10am today (April 3) that while most service stations continue to operate normally, a number of locations have run out of specific fuels, particularly diesel and E20, amid rising demand.

According to the update, the majority of stations under major brands including Bangchak, OR, Shell, Caltex, PT, Susco and independent operators still have adequate supplies of most fuel products.

However, several sites have reported shortages. Some Bangchak stations in areas including Kathu, Talad Yai and Rawai have run out of Gasohol 91, Gasohol 95 and E20, while others in Sri Sunthorn and Pa Khlok reported E20 shortages.

OR (PTT) stations in Rassada and Sri Sunthorn were also noted as having no diesel or E20 available, with additional E20 shortages reported at outlets in Cherng Talay.

Caltex stations in Chalong and Talad Nuea reported running out of premium diesel, while some locations in Sri Sunthorn and Cherng Talay have no E20 available.

Shell stations were among the hardest hit in specific categories, with multiple outlets across Kathu, Wichit, Thepkrasattri and Thalang reporting shortages of premium diesel. Some stations also listed Gasohol 91 and 95 as unavailable.

PT stations in Thepkrasattri area reported shortages of diesel and E20 at select locations, though most other branches remain fully stocked.

Despite the scattered shortages, officials stressed that the overall fuel supply situation in Phuket remains stable, with most stations continuing to sell fuel as normal.
