Patong Police were called to the store at 6:12am.
Officers arrived at the scene, nearby outside the store, to find the two French tourists, named as Walid Hadjab, 41, and Moussa Ait Ouakli, 33.
A witness to the incident explained to the officers that the two men were inside the 7-Eleven when they started arguing, which soon escalated into a fight, resulting in damage inside the store.
Both men were taken to Patong Police Station “to proceed according to the law”, police said.
The men were also asked to pay for damages to the shop.
No explanation was given as to what started the argument, or the fight.
The report by police was marked as an ’incident of interest’ and referred to Patong Police Chief Col Chalermchai Hirsawat to review.
