The arrests followed an investigation into a ‘secret gambling network, Patong Police reported.
A 36-year-old Thai man, along with three Thai women aged 35, 34 and 32, were apprehended inside a shop located in Soi Kebsup, at the southern end of Patong, officers explained.
All four suspects were charged with “colluding to gamble (Kang cards) and gambling for property without permission”, in violation of Thai gambling laws.
The suspects and related evidence were taken to Patong Police Station for further legal proceedings, police confirmed.
