Cherng Talay Police were notified of the fatal accident at 7:40pm. The crash occurred on a curve at the entrance to Layan Soi 6, Cherng Talay.

Police coordinated with rescue workers from Cherng Talay Municipality, Kusoldharm Phuket Rescue Foundation (Tha Ruea branch) and medical staff from Thalang Hospital to provide assistance at the scene. One injured person was taken to hospital for treatment.

At the scene, officers found the body of a foreign male lying beside a motorcycle that had crashed into a roadside power pole. The motorcycle, bearing Bangkok registration GCH 8147, was heavily damaged in the impact.

The victim’s nationality and age were not immediately known as he was not carrying identification documents at the time of the crash. His body was transported to Vachira Phuket Hospital for further examination and formal identification.

Police said initial investigations indicate the rider lost control of the motorcycle while negotiating the curve before colliding with the power pole. Officers are continuing to investigate the exact cause of the crash.

Authorities are working to establish the identity of the deceased and will coordinate with the relevant embassy once identification is confirmed.
