At 2pm on February 28, Pol Capt Suchart Leucha of Thalang Police was alerted by Mr Kin Kabsongkram, 67, of a fire at property number 12/3 in Pa Khlok's Moo 2 locale.
Pol Cat Suchart, accompanied by Pa Khlok investigator Pol Snr Sgt Maj Sanit Plaikuam and Kusoldham rescue workers, responded to the scene of the fire, at the edge of Tha La Beach, near the "Baan Puck Chara Phuket" elderly folks home.
Authorities used a dispatched water truck from the Pa Khlok municipality to bring the fire under control.
Mr Kin gave report that the blazed house was his and specifically used to prepare and cook food.
Mr Kin recalled that he was in an adjacent house watching TV when he detected lots of smoke coming into his window and realized it was coming from the cooking house, prompting him to call for help.
Police estimate the damages to be about B50,000.
