Thalang Police Station received a report of the fire at 2:51pm. The blaze occurred at rental rooms numbered 1-9/5 in Moo 3, Srisoonthorn.

Police responding to the scene found the fire burning inside one of the rented rooms and spreading to adjacent units. Fire engines were dispatched to the area and firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control and fully extinguish it.

Initial inquiries indicated the fire started in room 4/5, which was unoccupied at the time as the tenants were at work. The affected rooms were reportedly being rented for storage. The fire spread to neighbouring units, damaging a total of nine rooms.

No injuries were reported.

Police officers from patrol units 1, 3 and 30, together with forensic investigators, inspected the scene to determine the cause of the fire. The investigation remains ongoing.

Police identified Oranong Pholcharoen as the owner of all nine rental rooms affected by the fire.
