Patong Police were informed of the fire at 11:39am.
Police and firefighters from Patong Municipality arrived to find the fire confined to the hotel’s sauna room.
Firefighters successfully doused the flames before they could spread to other parts of the building or nearby areas.
No individuals were inside the sauna at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. Damage was limited to the sauna room itself.
Police are continuing their investigation in the hope of determing the cause of the fire.
