Officers from Patong Police Station were notified of the blaze at 3:30am at My Pharmacy, located at Nanai Rd.
Emergency responders, including multiple police patrol units, firefighters from the Patong Fire Department, medical staff from Patong Hospital and volunteers from a local charity foundation, were dispatched to the scene.
The fire was reported to have started on the second floor of the three-storey building, which the owner said was being used as a clothing storage area.
A resident, identified as 41-year-old Kitiya Niwetworachai, told officers she was asleep with her family ‒ her parents and daughter ‒ on the third floor when she became aware of the fire. She attempted to extinguish the flames on the second floor but was unable to bring them under control.
She then retreated to the upper floor and called for assistance.
All three occupants were safely rescued from the building, and no injuries or fatalities were reported.
Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control before it spread further. Initial reports indicated no significant property damage, though authorities have yet to release a full assessment.
Police have confirmed that no suspects are being sought in connection with the incident.
Investigators from Patong Police Station are continuing their enquiries to determine the cause of the fire.
