Police and firefighters were called to the scene at about 11:14am. The fire was reported by Samphan Somsakon, owner of the house where the fire started.
According to Mr Samphan, he had been charging a power bank inside the house before stepping outside to rest in a nearby hut.
Moments later, he heard a loud noise coming from inside the house and discovered that it was engulfed in flames.
Despite his attempts to extinguish the fire with water, the blaze quickly spread, forcing him to call for assistance.
Firefighting teams from Kathu Municipality were dispatched to the scene, and quickly doused the blaze.
No injuries were reported, and police said they were investigating the cause of the blaze.
