Phuket Governor Nirat Pongsitthaworn presided over the opening ceremony yesterday (Apr 21), joined by Mueang District Chief Siwat Rawangkul and other officials.

The new Honorary Consulate of Finland in Phuket will be headed by Sornkom Kitprasan, who welcomed guests at the ceremony.

Officials said the establishment of the consulate marks an important step in enhancing cooperation between Thailand and Finland, while also improving support for Finnish citizens and tourists visiting Phuket.

The presence of the consulate is expected to streamline assistance services, including coordination with local authorities, and contribute to maintaining Phuket’s reputation as a leading international tourist destination.

The consulate is located at 265 Yaowarat Rd in Phuket Town, and can be contacted via email at official@kitprasangroup.com or by phone at 085-0222205.
