Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Disney and director JJ Abrams have big things planned for the franchise as it gears up for it’s seventh film in the series. With original cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill alongside newcomers John Boyega and Oscar Isaac, fans will be lining up weeks in advance just to get a good seat in the theater.

The Martian
Matt Damon will star in Ridley Scott’s highly-anticipated film, The Martian, alongside actors Jeff Daniels and Jessica Chastain. The story is adapted from the 2012 Andy Weir novel of the same name where astronaut Mark Watney becomes stranded alone on Mars and must improvise in order to survive.
To be released November 25, 2015.
Mad Max: Fury Road
The reboot of the 1980s Mad Max series of films will star Tom Hardy in the titular role (made famous by Mel Gibson). A trailer for the film promises big, explosive action with a story that defines simplicity: in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, loner Max meets a woman (Charlize Theron) who wishes to cross the desert.
To be released May 15, 2015.
Jupiter Ascending
The Wachowski brothers (The Matrix trilogy) bring us Jupiter Ascending, starring Sean Bean, Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis. The original screenplay tells the story of human Jupiter Jones and interplanetary warrior Caine Wise in a sci-fi thriller with the potential for a franchise.
To be released February 6, 2015.
Kingsman: the Secret Service
Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson and Taron Egerton star in this action film based on the comic book of the same name. It tells the story of a secret spy organisation that recruits unrefined but promising street teens and their training.
To be released February 13, 2015.
Tomorrowland
The trailer for this Disney mystery adventure, starring George Clooney and Britt Robertson, has piqued the interest of many over social media. Both protagonists team-up to complete a dangerous mission to unearth secrets of an enigmatic place somwhere in time and space, known only as “Tomorrowland.”
To be released May 22, 2015.
Furious 7
Not only will this be Paul Walker’s final appearance on film, but Furious 7 will also see Jason Statham’s first shot as a villain. It will be interesting to see how director James Wan incorporates Walker’s death into the franchise’s storyline.
To be released April 3, 2015.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron
Ultron is the first villain in the Marvel film universe that can be compared to Darth Vader. Comic book fans know that certain storylines are on the horizon and for that to happen, certain key plot points have to occur in this film. The seeds of civil war are about to be planted.
To be released May 1, 2015.
The Walk
Director Robert Zemeckis’ The Walk will tell the story of Philippe Petit’s dangerous high-wire walk between the towers of the World Trade Center back in 1974. Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as Petit. The story is already the subject of Oscar-winning documentary Man On Wire.
To be released October 2, 2015.
Black Mass
Johnny Depp stars as Whitey Bulger, one of the most wanted men in the history of the United States who evaded police for decades before his capture in 2011. The film is based on the book of the same name and will also star Sienna Miller, Benedict Cumberbatch and Joel Edgerton.
To be released September 18, 2015.
