The incident, at around 7:30pm, also blacked out the local area until repairs could be made.
A Super Cheap employee told police that, at that time, the parking area was full of customers’ vehicles and three-wheelers selling food.
“We heard a bang and saw the cable fall, spraying sparks everywhere.
“As everyone rushed to move their vehicles, the sparks hit the Super Cheap workers’ motorbikes and the fire build up from there.”
Three Tambon Wichit fire trucks arrived and as soon as power to to faulty wire was cut, set to ensuring the flames that consumede the bikes and climbed up the cable did noit spread to nearby buildings. It took them about 20 minutes to put the fire out.
