I was fortunate enough to go on board for a mini three-day holiday recently and all I can say is, wow! At 85 feet long, the yacht is finished to world-class standards and offers just the same luxury, if not more, as a 5-star hotel.
It features two double cabins, complete with en-suites and flat screen TVs, as well as two twin cabins, also with en-suites.
Once we got on board, chose our rooms and got into our swim gear, we headed to the upper deck and relaxed on the plush sun loungers. The captain raised the anchor and off we went.
We set off from Yacht Haven Marina and headed towards Rawai. Sunbathing on the loungers, while the yacht was sailing through the lush waters was truly a fantastic feeling. The cool breeze was exactly what we needed while soaking up the hot temperatures.
The yacht came complete with a full crew including the captain, a deckhand, an engineer, a hostess, and an excellent international chef. The service was exceptional, always attending to our every need.
So you can imagine how spoiled I felt when the hostess brought me out a drink along with a tropical fruit platter while I lay in the sun and relaxed.
We were served breakfast, a buffet lunch and Thai dinner each day we were on board. We were also provided with water and sodas; a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine, and a 24-pack of beer between the four of us, each day.
The service is truly amazing. Whatever you desire, they will make it for you. Whether that’s some scrambled eggs or an omelette in the morning, or a classic Thai dish for dinner. You really do feel like royalty.
During our stop-off at Rawai, we played with the kayaks, snorkelling and scuba diving gear that was provided for us.
We spent the afternoon riding around on the kayaks, followed by an evening of fishing (with the fishing rods provided on board) and competed to see who could catch the most fish.
Over the next couple of days, we sailed through the Phi Phi islands and spent sunset overlooking famed Maya Bay.
The staff are so flexible, you can stop off wherever you want (depending on costs) and for however long you want. From Krabi to the Similan Islands, it’s all up to you.
After a few cocktails in the bars on Phi Phi, we headed back on to the yacht and dug into the delicious beef massaman curry the chef whipped up for us.
After a long tough day of relaxing in the sun, you can even take advantage of the on-board masseuse (an innovation since my trip). If that doesn’t relax you, then hop into the 50hp motor dingy and go for a little explore. Or if you really want, you can spend your evenings curled up with a book on the upper deck; playing on the Playstation 4; watching a DVD from the generous selection; or playing some chilled out beats on the iPod-friendly stereo system.
On our last night we had a barbecue on the upper deck, while relaxing under the stars – it was an amazing way to spend our final evening on board this luxurious, stunning yacht.
I will never forget the time I spent aboard. And for three brief days, I felt like I was actually a superstar.
