PHUKET: The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has announced that the electricity supply will be temporarily shut off in parts of Mai Khao tomorrow (Feb 21) and all supply to both of the Koh Yao islands off Phuket’s east coast will be shut off Friday next week (Feb 28) as work is carried out on installing new high-voltage cables.

The areas to be affected by the power outage tomorrow, from 9am to 4:30pm, are Baan Tha Chatchai in Moo 4, Tambon Mai Khao.
The power outage Friday next week (Feb 28), from 9am to 5pm, will affect all of Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi.
In its announcement, the PEA apologised for any inconvenience caused while the work is carried out.
