PHUKET: Rawai Municipality has announced that the electricity supply will be temporarily shut off along the Rawai beachfront this Friday (Aug 16) as work is carried out on installing new high-voltage cables.

Areas to be affected by the power outage, from 9am to 4:30pm, are from Rawai Pier to Promthep Cape.
In its announcement, Rawai Municipality apologised for any inconvenience caused while the work is carried out.
The Phuket office of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has yet to announce the power outage.
