The arrest was carried out on Saturday (July 4) by officers from the Patong Police investigation unit as part of an ongoing crackdown on illegal e-cigarettes.
Police investigators led by Pol Lt Wirithphon Thibarat and Pol Lt Sawai Chusawat arrested the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Chawalit Nonthongplu, at a condo on Nanai Rd.
During a search of the room, officers seized 134 INFY-brand e-cigarettes.
Mr Chawalit has been charged with possessing goods that had allegedly been brought into Thailand without passing through customs procedures, an offence under Section 246 of the Customs Act B.E. 2560 (2017), which covers the concealment, sale, transport or possession of smuggled goods.
He was taken to Patong Police Station for further legal proceedings.
