Officials from the Mueang Phuket District Office set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the King Kaew community, Moo 3, as part of ongoing efforts to tackle drug activity at the local level, said an official report of the operation.

The checkpoint operation was led by Deputy District Chiefs Thiti Bunyasathien and Apichat Chantrawong, with support from Volunteer Defence Corps (OrSor) personnel. Local community leaders, including Village Headman Kongkiat Wannaboworn, also took part.

The woman was charged with illegal possession of Category 1 narcotics (crystal methamphetamine and amphetamine pills) and illegal consumption of Category 1 narcotics, the official report confirmed.
She was handed over to investigators at Phuket City Police Station for further legal action. Authorities confirmed that similar operations will continue as part of efforts to suppress drug use and trafficking in local communities.
