The arrest took place at about 12:05am on Sunday (Jan 25) in Moo 4, Cherng Talay, under an operation led by Thalang Deputy District Chief and narcotics suppression officer Chaiporn Yangjin.
Officials seized four bags containing a total of 167 ya bah tablets, along with 17 bags of crystal meth weighing a combined 9.92 grammes.
The suspect, not named in the public report, faces multiple charges, including selling and attempting to sell Category 1 narcotics without permission in a manner constituting commercial distribution, illegal consumption of Category 1 narcotics, and driving under the influence of methamphetamine.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect was handed over to Cherng Talay Police for further legal proceedings.
The operation was carried out by Thalang District officials and members of the Thalang District Volunteer Defence Corps (OrSor).
District officials said the arrest formed part of an ongoing campaign in line with government and Ministry of Interior policies to crack down continuously on drug-related offences and influential figures at the community level, with the aim of maintaining public safety and order.
