The arrests, on Friday (Oct 6), were announced by Phuket Provincial Police Crime yesterday (Oct 7).
The arrest team was led by Phuket Provincial Police Crime Suppression Division chief Pol Lt Col Phichit Thongto, joined by other Phuket Provincial Police Crime Suppression Division officers.
The arrests were reported as three separate cases, despite all four men initially being placed under arrest in front of a house in Soi 4 of the Hon Sai Thong Community in Ratsada.
Reported as Case 1 were the arrests of Chetanipit ‘Map’ Na Ranong, 40, registered as living in Soi Prayoon, off Yaowarat Rd, in Samkong, and Anurak ‘Toon’ Phonpratun, 34, registered as living in Moo 3, Ratsada.
Following the arrests, officers searched a rented room on third floor of a building on Soi Yaowarat 1.
Seized in placing Chetanipit under arrest were 2.84 grammes of crystal meth (ya ice) and 2,357 methamphetamine tablets (ya bah), as well as 16 items of evidence, including a Honda Click 125i and two mobile phones.
Chetanipit and Anurak were taken to Phuket City Police Station and charged with joint possession of a Category 1 narcotic with intent to sell and with actually taking the drug.
Reported as Case 2 was the arrest of Piyaphan ‘Jett’ Kasiraksa, 42, registered as living in Moo 7, Ratsada.
Following his arrest officers searched a house on Srisuthat Rd, Ratsada.
Seized as evidence were 9.57 grams of ya ice, 88 ya bah tablets, one digital weighing scale and one mobile phone, among eight items in total.
Piyaphan was taken to Phuket City Police Station and charged with possession of a Category 1 narcotic with intent to sell and with taking the drug.
Reported as Case 3 was the arrest of Anan ‘Klom’ Kasiraksa, 44, registered as living in Moo 7, Ratsada.
Anan was found with 10 meth pills in his possession and was also taken to Phuket City Police Station and charged with illegal possession of a Category 1 narcotic and with using the drug.
