Jantima Kraithong posted a photo of the man on public group Facebook today along with the message: “This man is heading to Bangkok to pay respect to the late King, if anyone sees him on the road please assist with food and water.”

The man, named only as Mr Sompong, is said to work as a TV repairman on the island and he was spotted by local residents at 10am this morning as he pushed himself along Thepkrasettri road in Mai Khao.

It has also been said that Mr Sompong was also seen joining The “Bike for Dad” event held last year to mark the late King’s 88th Birthday.
