Officers from Wichit Police Station were alerted to the incident at about 7:25pm and dispatched an investigating officer to a residence in Villa Daorung housing estate Soi 2.
The woman, identified as Nichapat Kerdphol, was discovered dead in her bedroom.
Police said a charcoal brazier was found inside the room, indicating she had inhaled smoke, leading to fatal carbon monoxide poisoning.
Pol Lt Col Kraison Pakaree, the investigating officer, attended the scene along with a forensic doctor from Vachira Phuket Hospital, who conducted an initial examination of the body.
Questioning of relatives, including a family member identified as Wirat Khaimuk, revealed that Ms Nichapat had been suffering from depression and panic attacks. She was also reported to have been facing ongoing financial and family difficulties.
Police believe these issues contributed to her decision to take her own life. No signs of foul play were found.
Her body was later transported to Vachira Phuket Hospital for further examination.
