The development is the subject of an ongoing case being considered by the court. The case was brought by a local resident who alleges that the Rawai Municipality should not have issued a building permit for the development, said the head of the Municipality, Arun Soros.
Accompanied by an expert from the Architecture Council of Thailand, the court officials went to see the site for themselves and to meet representatives from the developers, Eva Group.
The architectural expert will submit a report that will be sent to all sides in the dispute and the court “will make a judgement later”, an official said.
