The tan-skinned Asian male victim, nude, had washed ashore in the area of Moo 7 village of the Baan Tha Nun community in Phang Nga's Khok Gloi sub district, about half a kilomtre from the bridge.
The victim, has not yet been identified but is estimated to have been between 28 and 35 years old.
Upon recovering the body, rescue workers found that the man's hands and legs were tied up with nylon string, and one large stab wound on his skull, and five more wounds on his chest.
Police believe it was either an execution, from either personal revenge, or a business dispute, but have not yet ruled out the possibility that the man was a executed on a "Myanmar labour boat" and thrown overboard
